  • Brought up and educated in Hong Kong and Taiwan, Winston received his BSc in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan University.
  • Employed in civil engineering and teaching prior to immigrating to Canada in 1990.
  • Began a career as a life insurance agent in 1991.
  • Moved to North American Life in 1992 and achieved Million Dollar Round Table status in first year.
  • Incorporated investment and wealth management into his practice in 1996.
  • Obtained Certified Financial Planner designation in 1999 prior to forming Man & Man Financial Planning Inc. with his wife Nora in 2000.
  • Obtained Chartered Life Underwriter designation in 2001.
  • Community activities include Presidency of the Chinese Canadian Music Society of Ontario; founder / member of the Toronto Cantata Chorus; committee member of the Dragon Ball, a fund raising event for Yee Hong Wellness Foundation; and planning and coordinating fund-raising charity events for hospitals and orphanage in the Philippines, Newfoundland and Jamaica.

  • Brought up in Hong Kong, Nora obtained her MBA at Brunel University, Henley on Thames, in the United Kingdom.
  • Worked in the tourist industry for 13 years, which required travel to many parts of the world, as well as meeting and hosting people from many different countries.
  • She was a department head managing over 20 full-time and part-time staff.
  • Was a member of the Hong Kong Management Association, as well as the British Management Institute.
  • Immigrated to Canada in 1990 and worked in the travel industry for two years, prior to joining her husband Winston at North American Life Insurance.
  • Obtained Certified Financial Planner designation in 1999 before forming Man & Man Financial Planning Inc with her husband.
  • Continued studies to achieve Chartered Life Underwriter designation, followed by Registered Health Underwriter status, which specializes in disability insurance, living benefits, and group benefit plans.
  • Nora has been top sales performer for 15 years in the Toronto Asia Centre of Manulife. She is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table since 1997, with 12 years achieving Court of the Table and 3 years Top of the Table status. She is now a Life Member of this prestigious organisation. Her particular expertise includes financial planning, risk management, estate planning, and group benefit plans.
  • Nora gives back to her community by her activity with the Canadian Diabetes Association (founder and president of the Chinese Chapter), fund raising for Yee Hong Wellness Foundation, and the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto, and as program coordinator for the Hong Kong Festival and Toronto's International Dragon Boat Races. She is also a member of the Hong Kong Canada Business Association and was chair of the 2004 Chinese New Year Ball.
  • In recognition of her many contributions to the community, Nora was awarded the Shooting Star Award in 2001 for her great community work and her achievements in the financial industry.
  • She has also been awarded 5-star Master Builder status in 2014, the highest level of recognition by Manulife.

  • Software Engineer for 15 years (Delrina Technologies; JetForm Corporation; Delano Technology). Worked with other software engineers, quality assurance engineers, technical documentation writers, and project leaders. Communication skills were a key factor to her considerable success.
  • Became an invaluable addition to the Man & Man Financial Planning Inc. team since joining the organization in 2006.
  • Won the Vic Savino Memorial Advisor Development Award in 2009 as the top insurance sales agent who has just entered the industry within 3 years.
  • Passed all 3 levels of the CFA program and is now a CFA Charterholder since 2015.
  • The CFA designation is a globally recognized program and promotes comprehensive and rigorous investment management, research analysis and high ethical standards.

Peter lives in the beautiful hamlet of Gormley which is situated between the two municipalities of Whitchurch-Stouffville and Richmond Hill, just south of Aurora. As part of his ongoing commitment to customer service, he continues to meet clients at their place of business or their personal residence.

Peter is a very devoted family man; a husband of over 17 years with two wonderful children. Peter has a very active lifestyle and takes advantage of the multiple seasons we experience in Canada. In his spare time he partakes in sports such as golf, mountain biking, beach volleyball, fishing, and cross country and downhill skiing.
